Don’t Be Distracted, Ooni Tells New NACETEM DG Odusanya. The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has told the new Director General of National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM), Ile Ife, Dr. Olushola Odusanya, to roll up his sleeves and settle down to work immediately.

The respected Monarch gave the admonition when the new Chief Executive of the Research Institute paid him a courtesy visit, adding that the work at hand required all the concentration he could give to it.
Welcoming Dr. Olushola, Oba Ogunwusi counselled him to focus on the mandate of the agency without being swayed by issues that could distract his administration.

He said his appointment had his royal blessing, saying he hoped that his tenure would move the all-important agency forward, telling the new Chief Executive that the doors of the palace remained open and promised him full support.

Speaking earlier, Dr. Odusanya said being with the monarch was great honour, adding that the royal blessing received was highly encouraging and would remain evergreen in his memory. He assured the Ooni that having hit the ground running, there would be no looking back as he sets out to up the game in making sure that NACETEM delivers on its mandate.

He said his courtesy call on the Royal Father was primarily in recognition of the fact that NACETEM’s HQ is situated in his domain, adding that the Ooni occupies the prime position of being the Host to the agency.
He thanked Monarch for the honour accorded to him to lead the agency at this time, assuring Oba Ogunwusi of his loyalty and respect.

He promised that his tenure would witness good relations with the good people of the ancient city of Ile Ife, the host community.

In a related development, the Vice Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire, has described the appointment of Dr. Odusanya as the Director General of NACETEM as a sweet home-coming.

Professor Bamire made the remark when the new NACETEM Chief Executive paid him a courtesy visit in his office, adding that through his appointment, a round peg had been put in a round hole.
He said there was no doubt that with him at the helm of affairs, NACETEM would improve and impact positively on the lives of many Nigerians who look up to the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations for simple solutions to their day-to-day issues.

Dr. Odusanya thanked the Vice Chancellor and the entire OAU community for being a wonderful and accommodating host to his agency.

He said he came to NACETEM to work and would focus on his goal without distractions.
